A very cute game. I hope one day it's expanded on in some way.

I just lost Gold Spirit after getting Phosphor and Lime ontop of my Silver, Gold, Iron, Poison, Water and Lead?? I guess it's 'cause I lost the "Gold"? Or learned that it's actually Iron! Interesting!

Ooh, and now I can get it back! Lol. Human enemy time! Lol not really!

Lol post-Stewart commentary! And post-Farm Bedroom too. Should it happen twice? And just enough events to fit inside the 24 saves!

Ooh, ha! Masterful transition to the story end, especially since how Farm Bed was my last stop!

Ah. Woo! Terry Prachett! I was wondering what the last line was, since I can't save after! And things make total sense how it all fuses together hehe!

It's a pleasure to see you participating this year. I admit I kept your game in my last to test. I think I wouldn't be very objective since your game was already one of my favorites last year. But I'll do what I can to give you a useful review.

I like
-Still as magnificent a story. I knew it was going to end like this. But it was still very enjoyable to see it.
-Priceless music.
-Always magnificent staging.
-The animals that appear in the forest at night.
-Very clever first card with the horizontal loop.
-VIVIENE!!!!! I almost shed a tear when I saw it. <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3.
-Excellent combat system. I admit I didn't use the Passive because I wanted to challenge myself. Few fights, but each one is important. It's refreshing to encounter quality fights rather than just quantity.

Like less
-Music too loud compared to the sound effects.
-The village mapping isn't up to par with the rest of the game.
-I'm not a fan of Pluggin. In my opinion, it's anti-gaming in a Jam. But that's just my opinion.
-The character of the Gold Spirit reminded me of Doctrix's problematic husband.
-If we don't remember the spirits' powers when we fight them, we have to figure out how to remember what they do. Knowing that there are no intermediate fights or training sessions, we might have to try out fights to remember these skills. I'm just saying that, but I haven't lost any fights.

No bugs encountered.

Final point:
I only have one more project left to comment on after yours. And even if I don't like plugins, I can't imagine a project other than yours winning this jam. A more than decent playing time, original gameplay, a captivating story, and endearing characters. I have nothing more to say than that I'm captivated by your creative universe.

I'll stop there because I'm not going to shower you with praise either. I'm just sad to see plugins there. I hope to see you again next year since you don't seem to be releasing any projects outside of this jam. Thank you so much for sharing your project with us. I wish you all the best and good luck with your work. <3

The fire spirit definitely needs to be weakened. It hits way too hard and the water spirit doesn't appear to deal any extra damage to it.

honestly it easier leaving the fire spirit for the last, i tryed to beat multiple times only to realize i could just do the other quests first

I beat it too but the combo of it's strong attacks and it's constant burn effect is still a bit much. The quick-strike technique was very useful since it lets you hit first and adds a pretty good amount to the limit break.

i agreed,quick strike also can increase the guage limit even if the sprite not taking any damage, but like i said it easier to leave it for last so ya can get alot of stat and hp increase,i also recommend ya spend the JP on passive skills


My recomedation of spirits are mostly water and iron as both can heal,whcih gives enough time and able to get the gauge limit faster,and when fighting them,pacify the lime spirit first as it can deal strong damage to multiple foes

What Size / Level did you beat Fire at? Did you find the Fingerless Gloves?


Just encountered Fire myself after losing to Poison at LV 4. But now I'm 6. Using Water to heal so I can Gambit for 1/3 Limit it seems.

But better as just actual Healing, since Defense Down seems to affect Gambit damage too.

Credits would be better with a black background... Scrollable's cool tho.

Interesting framing method! And that explains the naming! Hmm... What to name her... Keep it Birth-pun, or not?

Would've liked to know that saving isn't possible even though you gave the commands for it... Is Optimize even usable? Doesn't auto-equip the Stick...

the fight against the phosphorus and lime spirits definitely needs to be tweaked, or i'm missing some item or summon that makes it somewhat doable

What's your loadout? Did you beat it?

i just have gold and silver, and i havent tried it again since.

It took me a moment to find it, but if you go into the skills menu you can scroll all the way down and learn skills. Also go find some side quests to gather other spirits and more skill points.
